Time Does Not Heal Everything

They say time heals everything.

Maybe time doesn't really heal a great pain, as if it was a wound that will completely heal.

Time simply works a great magic on its own: it softens us. It makes us stop fighting against brick walls. Fight against what cannot be defeated or changed.

Take the most defiant and hard people you know and just give them time: time to grow in age, time to grow in life experience... and they will naturally calm down to a gentler kind of defiance because over time all the storms subside into a slightly more pleasant summer breeze.
